Position: General Manager – Europe.

You will be part of Mulberri’s executive management team and contribute to execution of strategic plans and management of business performance.

Role Definition

  • This is a senior level position focused on supporting new business, managing customer accounts, delivery operations and partner and supplier relationships principally in the UK and Europe.
  • The role is focused on building team capability and leading deployment and delivery of Mulberri solutions and services across customer accounts and to define and manage account plans to ensure that targeted cost and process optimization benefits are fully realised for our customers.
  • You will manage relationships with key stakeholders at client and prospective PE firms and with relevant stakeholders across portfolio companies.
  • You will build, manage and direct teams, oversee delivery of engagement workplans and budgets and oversee the financial performance of customer accounts with full account P&L responsibility.
  • You will also support wider account growth and new business development activity, contributing to customer proposals, product demonstrations, work plans and budgets and presentations.
  • The position offers a platform opportunity for fast-tracked growth and to expand your managerial remit and responsibilities to support the growth of the business and further develop our delivery capabilities.

Key tasks include:

  • Maintaining effective relationships with customers at all levels
  • Build and manage a European delivery team and performance delivery
  • Ensure we create value for our customers through savings and process automation against set objectives
  • Build and maintain effective relationships and commercial terms with partners and suppliers
  • Oversee delivery of analytics, sourcing and purchasing activity
  • Manage the P&L for in-scope regions and customers
  • Manage customer billing and receivables

Additional credentials:

  • Strong communicator, English business fluency (written and verbal) is a must. Fluency in other European languages such as French, Spanish and German is highly desirable
  • Strong problem solving and strong analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and processes.
  • Practical working knowledge of procurement technology solutions.
  • Team-oriented, builds effective teams; supports team members and their career development

Travel and Working HoursWorking days and hours will be defined in the employment contract. The standard working week is 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the work, the post holder is expected to be flexible around working hours, but Mulberri promotes self-managed work/life balance as a company value. The role requires flexibility in terms of work location and travel, which will vary depending upon the nature of client activity. The role requires travel between regional Mulberri office locations including our service delivery center in Malaga, Spain and client locations in the UK and Europe.
