Position: Sourcing Analyst – North America

You will be part of Mulberri’s delivery team and contribute to execution of delivery plans and management of day-to-day service performance across customer accounts.

Role Definition

You will be a member of the Mulberri delivery team supporting sourcing and procurement operations across Private Equity customer accounts and their portfolio companies. This is an analyst role focused on creating tangible value for customers through data analytics, opportunity assessment, and project execution support, delivering clear savings and process optimization outcomes.

You will work closely with Sourcing Managers to support strategic sourcing strategy and delivery. Core activity centers on performing spend analytics, benchmarking analysis, market analysis, building and maintaining sourcing project pipelines, and supporting execution of eRFX events (full tenders, auctions, RFQs etc.) and quick bids. The role also includes supporting wider analysis of account performance and adhoc analyses.

The scope of the role extends beyond core sourcing analytics support to incorporate spend and opportunity analytics, supplier and market research, savings and throughput performance tracking, reporting and insight generation, and ad hoc analytics to support customer and internal leadership needs.

The position offers significant opportunity for fast tracked growth with exposure to Mulberri account leaders and sourcing professionals, and senior customer stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support business development and account expansion activity and contribute to proposals and presentations in conjunction with Mulberri leadership.

Key tasks include:

  • Spend analytics and data management using specialist analytics solutions and BI tools.
  • Supporting effective relationships with customers and stakeholders across assigned accounts, portfolio companies, and private equity stakeholders through responsive delivery and clear communication.
  • Supporting account delivery operations including operating cadence inputs, prioritization support, escalation coordination, and performance reporting.
  • Creating value for our customers through savings and process optimization against defined objectives, ensuring benefits are tracked, validated and communicated clearly through accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Supporting delivery of sourcing, purchasing and procurement activity including intake support, quote and bid activity, bid analysis, negotiation preparation, award recommendations and issue resolution coordination, under the direction of a Sourcing Manager.
  • Supporting partner and supplier relationships including supplier discovery, onboarding support, basic commercial term capture, and performance tracking.
  • Maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities by supporting opportunity assessment, data analysis, and tracking of tactical and strategic workstreams to ensure progress, speed and quality of delivery.
  • Supporting business expansion activity within private equity where required, including identifying extension opportunities across portfolio companies and contributing to prospect conversations, proposals and presentations.

Additional credentials:

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and produce clear written summaries.
  • Strong capability in Excel, comfortable working with datasets, building analyses, and producing clear performance tracking mechanisms and reporting.
  • Strong communicator, English business fluency (written and verbal) is a must.
  • Working knowledge of sourcing and procurement fundamentals, including RFQs, supplier quote comparison, bid analysis, and basic negotiation support.
  • Practical working knowledge of procurement technology solutions and or eSourcing tools is desirable, with a willingness to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Team-oriented, supports other team members and contributes to development of repeatable best practices, templates and playbooks.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities across accounts.

Travel and Working HoursWorking days and hours will be defined in the employment contract. The standard working week is 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the work, the post holder is expected to be flexible around working hours, but Mulberri promotes self-managed work/life balance as a company value. The role requires flexibility in terms of work location and travel, which will vary depending upon the nature of client activity. The role requires travel between regional Mulberri office locations including our service delivery center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and client locations within the US.
