Position: Sourcing Manager – North America

You will be part of Mulberri’s delivery team and contribute to execution of delivery plans and management of day-to-day service performance across customer accounts.

Role Definition

You will primarily lead strategic sourcing and support account management activity across assigned customer accounts. Sourcing activity comprises data analytics, opportunity assessment and sourcing pipeline management though to execution of eRFX events (full tenders, auctions, RFQs etc.) and quick bids, negotiating commercial terms to secure best value outcomes. The role also includes supporting BuyDesk operations through tactical purchasing activity to ensure fast, responsive execution for day-to-day sourcing needs.

You will define and manage account delivery plans including pipeline, opportunity assessment, operating cadence and reporting, and you will be accountable for tracking and communicating savings, service performance and overall delivery status.
You will work closely with internal teams to support deployment and adoption of Mulberri tools, processes and content, and contribute to the continuously of Mulberri delivery methods.

The role includes supporting business expansion activity within customer accounts, including identifying extension opportunities across portfolio companies and contributing to prospect conversations, proposals and presentations to help grow Mulberri’s potential within existing and new customers.

Key tasks include:

  • Maintaining effective relationships with customers at all levels across assigned accounts, portfolio companies, and private equity stakeholders.
  • Owning account delivery operations including operating cadence, prioritization, escalation management, and performance reporting.
  • Creating value for our customers through savings and process optimization against defined objectives, ensuring benefits are tracked, validated and clearly communicated such that the customer realizes and sees the value we create for them.
  • Leading delivery of sourcing, purchasing and procurement activity including intake management, supplier discovery, quote and bid activity, supplier negotiation, award recommendations and issue resolution.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships and commercial terms with partners and suppliers, including supplier onboarding and performance management.
  • Maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities and managing execution across tactical and strategic workstreams, balancing speed and quality of delivery.
  • Supporting business expansion activity within private equity, including identifying extension opportunities across portfolio companies and contributing to prospect conversations, proposals and presentations.

Additional credentials:

  • Strong communicator, English business fluency (written and verbal) is a must.
  • Strong problem solving and strong analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and processes.
  • Practical working knowledge of procurement technology solutions.
  • Team-oriented, supports other team members and contributes to development of best practice, templates and playbooks.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment and to prioritize activity across customer accounts.

Travel and Working HoursWorking days and hours will be defined in the employment contract. The standard working week is 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the work, the post holder is expected to be flexible around working hours, but Mulberri promotes self-managed work/life balance as a company value. The role requires flexibility in terms of work location and travel, which will vary depending upon the nature of client activity. The role requires travel between regional Mulberri office locations including our service delivery center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and client locations within the US.
